Canada Super Visa For Your Family
Parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for a Super Visa which is valid for up to 10 years. This visa allows your parents and grandparents to stay in Canada for up to 24 months at a time without any renewal.
In order to apply for the Parent and Grandparent Super Visa, you must:
- Be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
- Be found admissible to Canada
- Meet certain other conditions.
Determining Admissibility
The foreign national should be a genuine visitor to Canada who will willingly leave the country at the end of the visit. The other things that are considered are:
The person’s ties to the home country
The purpose of the visit
Family and financial situation
The overall economic and political stability of the home country
An invitation from a Canadian host.
Provide a written statement from that child or grandchild that he or she will give you financial support,
Should have valid Canadian medical insurance coverage for at least one year.
Complete an Immigration Medical Examination.
